Bb.q Chicken Temple City

Overview

Bb.q Chicken Temple City at 5709 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780, United States, has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a casual, flavorful meal. From the moment you walk in, the inviting aroma of freshly fried chicken and spices sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The interior is cozy yet modern, giving it that perfect balance between a friendly neighborhood diner and a polished restaurant where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.

One of the first things I noticed is how attentive the staff are. During my visits, they were always ready to offer suggestions based on my preferences, from the crispy garlic soy wings to the signature honey soy chicken. I particularly appreciate when a restaurant takes the time to explain the preparation methods-they shared how the chicken is marinated for hours with a secret blend of herbs and spices before being fried to perfection, ensuring that every bite is juicy and flavorful.

The menu at Bb.q Chicken Temple City is surprisingly diverse. Beyond the classic fried options, they offer grilled varieties, chicken sandwiches, and an assortment of side dishes that pair beautifully with the main course. One of my personal favorites is the spicy seasoned wings, which manage to balance heat and flavor without overwhelming your palate. The restaurant also provides combo meals that make it easy to sample multiple dishes, which is great if you’re visiting with friends or family. I remember one afternoon when I brought my niece along, and she couldn’t stop raving about the cheesy corn and crispy fries. It’s clear that Bb.q Chicken has thought carefully about not just the chicken but the entire dining experience.

In terms of quality, the chicken here consistently hits the mark. According to recent studies by the National Chicken Council, properly marinated and cooked chicken retains higher levels of flavor and tenderness, and Bb.q Chicken Temple City seems to apply these principles perfectly. I’ve tried similar dishes at other locations, but few manage to combine the crispiness of the coating with the succulence of the meat as seamlessly. The portion sizes are generous too, making it a great value for anyone looking for a hearty meal.

What sets this location apart is its consistency and reliability. Local food critics often emphasize that repeat visits should feel familiar, and here, they certainly do. The ordering process is straightforward, and they even offer takeout options without sacrificing quality. Personally, I’ve had takeout delivered to my home on a busy weekend, and the chicken arrived just as crispy as if I were dining in. The restaurant also maintains high standards of cleanliness, which adds an extra layer of confidence when enjoying a meal.

The reviews online reflect a community that appreciates both the food and the service. Many patrons highlight the friendly atmosphere, the flavorful chicken, and the variety on the menu. For anyone visiting Temple City, it’s worth noting that this location is conveniently situated along Rosemead Boulevard, making it accessible whether you’re driving through or planning a dedicated visit. Several food bloggers have mentioned it as a must-try for anyone seeking authentic Korean-style fried chicken in Southern California, which aligns with my own experience.

Whether you’re a long-time chicken enthusiast or just looking for a satisfying meal, Bb.q Chicken Temple City provides a dependable, delicious option. The attention to detail-from marinating techniques to side selections-demonstrates genuine care for the customer experience, and the consistent positive feedback from the local community only reinforces that. For anyone craving a combination of crunchy, juicy chicken with well-thought-out sides and a friendly atmosphere, this spot delivers every single time.

The food here is pretty good! My friends and I got the Bulgolgi Poutine, Rose Ddeok-Bokki, and the Honey Garlic Wings. I definitely recommend the honey garlic wings, it's super good! The service was great as well-- our server was so sweet and kind, she made sure we were okay. The place is somewhat spacious, there's lots of tables there!

We came down because we were craving wings. We weren't expecting anything major, but wow did everything blow us away. The atmosphere is friendly and the music choices were perfect. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. There is a bit of wait for the food because everything is freshly fried, but I promise you the crunch is worth the wait. We got the cheese and mala wings, and although they were delicious on their own, compining the two was a bursh od flavor I'll never forget. I 100% recommend.

I always come to this store for take out. The store is always very clean and the staff is always friendly and greet customers with a smile. One time I ran a bit late to pick up my order and the staff offered to switch out my soda (which was previously prepared for pick up) with a new one with ice...how thoughtful! I'll definitely continue coming to this store!

This chicken was so good. Made to order so expect a wait but it’s so worth it. I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of flavors but Farhan was very nice and described the flavors to help me decide. Very nice guy, offered me a cup of ice water while waiting. I will be back!

Korean fried chicken?? YES PLEASE!!!! What did we order? Spicy galbi wings, honey garlic wings, kimchi fried rice & bulgogi poutine. I honestly loved the batter of the chicken, so full of flavor. Wings were not just flavorful, also crispy on the outside and succulent and tender on the inside. As for the kimchi fried rice and bulgogi poutine, the portions were both ginormous. We were worried that the food might not be enough, but we were wrong. Def shareable! Kimchi fried rice was so flavorful & I liked the idea that they added shredded cheese, kimchi, and bulgogi on the tater tots. They tasted good with the wings and beer. Downside? I wish the chicken wings could be spicier and cheaper lol. I mean, almost $2 for a small chicken wing? Oh well. The spicy galbi wings had a nice kick but not as spicy as we were expecting. Also, the cheese on the poutine def needed to be melted. All in all, good chicken! Korean fried chicken is such a guilty pleasure. So high in calories but so worth eating!
